Mirdif is a residential district in north-east Dubai about 10km from Deira City Centre and close to Dubai International Airport. Al Mizhar lies to the north and Al Warqa to the south. Al Mushrif public park is situated on Mirdif’s eastern flank.
Properties in Mirdif are mainly villas, either individual, privately owned or in gated communities.
There are three gated communities: Uptown Mirdif, Shorooq and Ghoroob.
Uptown Mirdif is a gated community inspired by an English spa town, with over 2,000 villas and apartments. It has its own play areas, recreation facilities, health care centre and primary school.
Shorooq Community is a housing development situated along Algeria Street near Mushrif Park. It consists mainly of 668 stylish two-, three- and four-bedroom villas and has a community club house.
Ghoroob is a collection of low-rise apartment blocks housing studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The apartments - almost three thousand in all - come in five different styles. The buildings are surrounded by landscaped gardens, children’s play areas and basketball and volleyball courts. Ghoroob has its own Carrefour supermarket.
