According to the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), published on Friday, 19,033 transactions were registered in the Abu Dhabi real estate market in 2022, the total value of which reached AED 77.6 billion.
In the real estate sector of the emirate, 9,010 transactions for the purchase and sale of real estate for cash in the amount of AED 23.5 billion and 10,023 mortgage transactions in the amount of AED 54.1 billion were registered.
Yas Island topped the list of successful areas with transactions worth AED 4.2 billion, and Al Reem Island came in second place with transactions worth AED 3.4 billion. With a combined transaction amount of AED 3.1 billion dirhams, Saadiyat Island ranked third, while Al Shamkha ranked fourth with AED 2.1 billion dirhams. Finally, Zayed City ranked fifth with AED 1 billion.
The real estate market in Abu Dhabi has demonstrated significant growth and high performance in 2022 compared to 2021. The total value of real estate transactions increased by 8.5%, while the number of transactions over the same period jumped by 27.2%.
