The Lagoons project in Dubai will now feature two more clusters - Venice and Malta. The idea is that all of the communities, including Santorini, Costa Brava, Nice and Portofino, are united by one theme - the Mediterranean. All the infrastructure of the project will be located around rather large water lagoons with white sand beaches, imitating the feel of the popular sea-front cities.
The new Malta sector will include learning-based facilities such as a Building Blocks pavilion, where children can build their own giant houses, and a virtual reality park. The lucky residents will also be stunned by the floating flower market, which will incorporate colourful boats lined up in the lagoon.
The Venice cluster won’t fall behind its inspiration city and will offer gondola rides, arching bridges over canals and waterside cafes. The sector will also include a luxury spa, a fine-dining restaurant and a bar.
Damac Properties senior VP commented that they are going for a concept, where residents of the project will feel like they are on a permanent vacation. The Lagoons project is estimated to open its doors in 2024.
