The giant of the hospitality industry Wynn Resorts has announced the name of its new multi-billion-dollar integrated resort, which will be built in Ras Al Khaimah on the island of Wynn Al Marjan. The company also presented the design concept of its first beach resort in the Emirate.
The US-registered developer and operator of luxury resorts is going to spend $3.9 billion on its first project in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. "The iconic silhouette of Wynn Al Marjan Island will change and accelerate the growth of the emirate as a major global tourist destination, as well as create additional value for its economy through tourism and job creation," the developer said in a statement. "The project will pave the way for accelerated growth of related business sectors".
Work on the construction of the foundation began at the beginning of this year.
The resort will include a wide range of entertainment venues, a gaming area, an elite shopping esplanade, an event center, a theater, as well as 1,500 rooms, suites and villas.
"Last year, we carefully programmed and created the concept of Wynn Al Marjan Island, considering its unique location", said Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts. I am incredibly proud of the results of our team of designers and developers: a thoughtful design will turn into a sun-drenched beach resort that will delight customers, both new and old. We look forward to the opening of Wynn Al Marjan Island in early 2027".
