Recently, a multi-billion-dollar resort development project was announced on the artificial island of Al-Marjan in Ras Al-Khaimah. The multifunctional integrated resort, scheduled to open in 2026, will be the largest foreign investment of its kind in Ras Al-Khaimah.
The planned location will include a luxury hotel with more than 1,000 rooms, a shopping center, a conference hall, a spa, more than 10 restaurants and lounges, a wide range of entertainment.
The new resort is at the initial stage of design and development and will soon be applied for a comprehensive resort license from the Ras Al-Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA).
Al- Marjan consists of four islands and has more than 7.8 km of beaches and 23 km of embankment, on which hotels and residential complexes are located. The island covers an area of 2.7 million square meters of reclaimed land extending to the Persian Gulf.
Being the largest project of its kind in the Emirate's hospitality sector, it will create significant value for the local economy through the growth of tourism, job creation and stimulation of the development of related sectors.
