Following the establishment of the U.A.E., Sheikh Abdulaziz chose a super plot for his personal palace. The building began with ground leveling & the issuance of a building permit on June 2nd, 1975. After a decade, the palace's strong foundation & structure was completed.

Skilled artisans were brought in to use their creativity, resulting in a stunning fusion of Islamic architecture with local, Indian, Persian & Moroccan elements. The natural lighting, entering through the palace’s dome & reflecting off celestial sculptures, creates an enchanting ambiance, plus the ceilings have rare French & Belgian chandeliers, adding to the opulence.
