Area description

Deira is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Dubai, stretching along a natural sea channel. The community grew up around the Rashid Port, which was long the main transportation hub for international trade. Today, the port no longer receives cargo ships, but the area remains an important commercial center in Dubai. One of its distinctive features is the traditional Arabic markets. Here you can buy spices, perfumes, jewellery, and fresh produce like vegetables, fruits, and fish. You can walk around Deira and see many administrative buildings: courts, municipal offices, foreign embassies.

Excellent infrastructure, the colorful atmosphere of an old Middle Eastern city and access to the seacoast make the area a popular place to live and buy property in Dubai.

FAQ
Where is the Deira?

The community is located in the eastern part of Dubai. It borders the Emirate of Sharjah, the Al Nahda 1 residential community and Dubai International Airport (DXB). The latter can be reached in just 10–15 minutes by car. On the seaside, the area is adjacent to the 4-island complex of Dubai Islands. They are connected to the mainland by a car bridge. Today, the Nakheel company is building new residential and hotel complexes on the islands. Soon a new tourist micro district with ideal conditions for a vacation by the sea will be created.

Dubai Creek Bay separates the community from downtown Dubai. The main artery Sheikh Zayed Road runs through the entire area, connecting it to Sharjah and major communities in Dubai. Infinity Brg Road also runs along the coastline towards the city center, and the bridge of the same name spans the water channel. It takes 20 minutes to drive from the community to Downtown Dubai. The same time is required to reach the center of Sharjah.
