The neighbourhood of Downtown is called "the world's most prestigious square kilometre" and there are numerous reasons for this. Encompassed by Al-Mustaqbal Street and Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, the neighbourhood is home to Dubai's top landmarks including the 828-metre Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain, the Dubai Mall, the world's largest shopping mall and the Burj Park area, overlooking all these attractions.
The Opera District is located in the western part of the neighbourhood. It got its name from the Dubai Opera - a concert hall designed for 2,000 people. It was opened in 2016 and became another iconic attraction of the city.

One of Dubai's largest neighbourhoods, Jumeirah, stretches along the Persian Gulf. Its top iconic spots are the Dubai Marina and the artificial island of Pearl Jumeirah. Downtown is a 20-minute drive from here. It takes a little longer to get there by public transport. To get to Pearl Jumeirah, you need to take the metro at The Dubai Mall (or Burj Khalifa), change at the Max station to the Green Line and get off at the Etihad Museum. This trip will take 55 minutes. If you need to get to the Dubai Marina, you can take the metro in the opposite direction - to Sobha Realty, change to the tram, go one stop and get off at Jumeirah Beach Residence 1.
The entertainment complex Dubailand, twice the size of Disneyland in Florida, is home to many interesting spots. For example, in the Global Village, you can visit pavilions with national goods from over 90 countries. The Opera District is a 25-minute drive from this spot. Within 40 minutes you can reach Al Sahra Desert Resort - Dubai's desert resort, which includes an oriental bazaar, luxurious villas and restaurants.
Bur Dubai is a popular destination among tourists and residents of the city as it’s home to the historic Al Bastakiya area and the Dubai Museum in the ancient fort. If you want to walk around the area, you need to go directly to the ADCB station. And to visit the National Museum, you’ll have to skip one more station, make a change and get off at Sharaf DG.
