Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) was established following Law no. 16 of 2005 of the Dubai Government to support the region's demand for the expansion of technology-focused businesses. DSOA is the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), an integrated free zone technology park that allows people to live, work, and play. DSO’s master-planned urban area spans 7.2 million square meters and has been carefully divided into five main pillars: industrial, commercial, education, living and residences, and public facilities.
DSO is designed as a hi-tech ecosystem that allows businesses to benefit from a plethora of advantages, including high-quality utility infrastructure, advanced telecommunications, electricity, and road networks. It also offers in-house business services and on-going business support. DSO encourages innovation and development through technology investment incentives for large enterprises, entrepreneurial support, an incubation centre and venture capital funding.
Launched in 2005, DSO was established with an objective to facilitate and promote modern technology-based industries in the emirate of Dubai and make DSO one of the world’s leading centers of advanced electronic innovation, design and development.
DSO extends an appealing value proposition embodied in the presence of full government support, competitive cost of operations, state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced IT network, free zone benefits, 100 percent ownership, and above all an environment that is specifically designed for the technology industry.
