Following the talks with Nakheel, Azizi Developments has received approvals for the artificial lagoon construction in its flagship 71-building and 16,000-unit waterfront community.
Dubai-based property developer, Azizi Developments, has announced the addition of a 130,026 square meters crystal lagoon over 2.7 km in length to its Riviera development in MBR City that will stretch across the entire community.
Following the long talks with Nakheel, the master developer of the area, Azizi Developments, finally succeeded in getting approvals for the lagoon construction. The Riviera community comprises 16,000 residential units spread across 71 buildings and is considered one of the most desirable projects in Dubai.
The lagoon will feature stunning blue flooring and will be filled with crystal clear, desalinated and clean water that will be easily accessible via a lagoon walk with a vast variety of artisan eateries and boutiques. The lagoon will be a space where residents can stroll along the beach-like shores, sunbathe and cool off.
Initially, a canal was planned instead of the lagoon in the area. It would have had murkier sea water that wouldn’t have been fit to swim in. Now it will be replaced with the lagoon that residents can make much better use of, not to mention much more stunning views from the community’s homes.
Those who plan to purchase retail units on the lagoon’s promenade will also be delighted by this surprise-announcement as the lagoon will not only attract more footfall to the area but also elevate its prestige.
