Dubai has found a contractor for South Bay

A contractor has appeared in Dubai to carry out the initial stages of the South Bay project - a large elite residential complex. South Bay will be located in the South Dubai area (Dubai South) near Al Maktoum Airport and Expo Road, the venue of Expo 2020.

Recently, Dubai South Properties signed a contract with the contractor Ginco General contracting for a total amount of AED 1 billion ($272.2 million). The contractor will carry out the initial stages of the South Bay Master Plan.

The South Bay project was first announced in the summer of 2022. Its unique feature is an artificial lagoon with a length of 1 km and a large embankment with a total length of 3 km.

After completion of all stages of construction, South Bay will have more than 800 villas and townhouses, more than 200 mansions in the coastal zone, as well as shops, bars, fitness centers and other infrastructure facilities.

The project is expected to be fully completed in the first quarter of 2026.
