Homeowners' association (HOA) in Dubai have the right to change the property and facilities management company in the middle of the contract term.
The property owner can file a claim with HOA’s, which can then apply for a replacement for the management company by sending a letter to RERA requesting a replacement. If the company does not start working in accordance with the requirements of the homeowners, the company will be dissolved. A new tender for project management will be offered to another approved company.
Currently, more than 500 HOA’s are registered in RERA. This number is rapidly increasing as new projects are implemented and end users are placed there.
