In 2022, about 7,000 residential units will be commissioned in Abu Dhabi

It is expected that about 7,000 residential units will be commissioned in Abu Dhabi real estate market this year. In 2021, this figure was 6,000 real estate units. The increase is due to increased demand from investors for apartments and villas in the Emirates.

Market confidence in Abu Dhabi has increased significantly against the backdrop of a favorable economic environment, a revival of tourism, a successful vaccination program and the recent reduction of restrictions related to COVID-19. In 2021, the progress in Abu Dhabi real estate market was modest compared to Dubai. However, 2022 looks more promising in terms of market growth.

At the current moment, there is a relative oversupply of apartments in the residential area of Al Reem. Nevertheless, it remains a popular community where off-plan real estate sales are taking place. The villa market in Abu Dhabi remains relatively scarce. A limited number of new projects are expected to be launched in 2022.

Saadiyat remains the most popular area of luxury villas, where the highest annual growth in housing prices is recorded. Experts explain this by the comfortable beach lifestyle here and the abundance of premium real estate.
