In Dubai fees for homeowners increased as property sales and rental deals rise

Fees for services are set and charged on an annual basis by Homeowner Association (HOA) after getting permission from Dubai Land Department. The actual fees are made by the management companies of HOA, which subsequently spend these funds on the maintenance of property in the building.

«Of course, the situation with service fees has improved markedly compared to previous years», said Saeed Al-Fahim, CEO of Stratum, one of the largest real estate management companies in the country. «We believe that in 2022 all unresolved issues between property owners and management companies will be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. There will be no reason why property owners should delay or not pay their dues. These payments will go to the maintenance of their property».

Management companies are also implementing installment schemes to encourage owners to pay their dues.
