In Q1 2022, more than $3 billion worth of real estate transactions were registered in Abu Dhabi

In Q1 2022, 3,304 real estate transactions worth 11.3 billion dirhams ($3 billion) were registered in Abu Dhabi. The UAE real estate market continues to recover after the recession caused by the pandemic. This was announced by the Department of Municipalities and Transport of the Emirate (DMT).

 

According to official data, in the first three months of 2022, 1 722 real estate purchase and sale transactions worth 4.35 billion dirhams and 1 582 mortgage transactions worth 6.9 billion dirhams were registered in the emirate.

 

The UAE real estate market showed strong growth in 2021. A similar trend will continue in 2022, as the country's economy has already recovered.

 

Residential property prices in Abu Dhabi increased by 1.5% in the 12 months to March 2022. Average apartment prices increased by 1.6% in the year to March 2022, to 10 904 dirhams per square meter. At the same time, the average prices for villas increased by 1.1% to 8 850 dirhams per square meter.

 

In 2021, real estate transactions worth 71.5 billion dirhams were registered in Abu Dhabi, and the total number of purchase and sale transactions and mortgage transactions amounted to 14 958.
