From April 24, 2023, buyers of Dubai real estate will be able to easily check the legitimacy and relevance of ads for the sale of residential properties by simply scanning a QR code.
The Dubai Land Department (DLD), through the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), has issued a circular confirming the launch of a new intellectual service called Madmoun.
In the Madmoun application, which can be accessed through the Trakheesi system, a QR code can be issued for any real estate advertising permit.
It is expected that from April 24, all real estate companies will include the code in their print and audio-visual advertising, which will allow customers to use the new service.
In addition to the QR code, users can access the DLD website to view all other information about the ad, including the status and characteristics of the object.
This service is in line with DLD's strategy to make Dubai a "world leader in real estate investment" by using technology to develop real estate products in accordance with the instructions of the emirate's leadership.
The Land Department also reported that the number of housing transactions in the emirate is steadily growing. So, over the past week, 2,246 real estate transactions worth 11.6 billion AED ($3.16 billion) were registered in Dubai.
