The JAFZA logistics park, covering an area of 52,258 square metres, is now welcoming tenants and buyers. The new Jebel Ali free zone project, implemented in collaboration with the Amanda Group, addresses the acute shortage of logistics facilities in Dubai with warehouse and manufacturing spaces.
In Phase I, the following features are provided:
- Class “A” warehouses for dry and pharmaceutical manufacturing;
- Warehouses with adjustable temperature control;
- Office spaces.
According to the free zone administration’s statement, the facilities of the first phase were leased out even before the completion of construction, indicating a high demand for logistics and warehouse solutions.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer for Parks and Zones at DP World GCC, emphasised, “The park’s strategic connectivity via Jebel Ali will boost our customers’ reach and help them further expand their footprint, facilitating seamless access to global markets and enhancing their competitiveness.”
Phase II is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2025 and will include an additional 23,225 square metres of Class A warehouse space.
As evident from the high rental rates in Phase I, commercial and industrial areas in Dubai have been experiencing sustained growth over the years. At some point, demand significantly outpaced actual supply, and this is what the leading free zones have been trying to address.
