The cost of rental in Dubai has been growing rapidly since October 2014

According to the latest CBRE report, the average rent in Dubai for the 12 months to May 2022 increased by 19.1%, while the average rent for apartments and villas increased by 18.3% and 24.3%, respectively.

The Dubai Residential Real Estate Market Survey for June 2022, published by CBRE, shows that rents for apartments and villas in Dubai are growing at the fastest pace since the end of 2014.

As of May 2022, the average rent for an apartment and a villa was 83,485 and 249,677 dirhams per year.

Taimur Khan, Head of MENA Research at CBRE in Dubai, said: «The rate of rent growth continues to increase year-on-year, where in the year to May 2022, the average rent increased by 19.1%, compared with 16.2% recorded in April 2022».

In the rental market, the highest average annual rental rates for apartments and villas, respectively, were found in Palm Jumeirah, where the requested rent averaged 213,761 dirhams, and in Al Barari, where the requested rent averaged 874,171 dirhams.
