According to the Dubai Land Department, this week Dubai reported 2,739 transactions totaling 8.4 billion dirhams (2.3 billion US dollars) (DLD).
In the week ending August 26, 274 plots of land worth 1.36 billion dirhams and 1,902 houses worth 4.35 billion dirhams were sold in the emirate.
The most expensive transaction was the sale of land in Business Bay for 110 million dirhams UAE. The second largest transaction concerned the sale of another plot of land in Wadi Al Safa 2 for 38.75 million dirhams.
Al Khaimah Fifth topped the list of deals with 100 purchase and sale transactions totaling 284.4 million dirhams. Jabal Ali First took second place with 76 sales transactions totaling 254.28 million dirhams, and Al Merkabah took third place with 21 sales transactions totaling 152 million dirhams.
During the week, the value of the mortgaged property amounted to 1.67 billion dirhams.
