For a delightful leisure experience, residents can explore the Expo City district, where modern exhibition complexes are concentrated, many of which remain open year-round.
For example, the Terra Pavilion, designed by the British firm Grimshaw Architects, is dedicated to sustainable development. The pavilion has 4,912 solar panels on its roof and 18 artificial "trees" with solar panels, generating 4 GWh/year of alternative energy. The exhibition pavilion is divided into thematic zones dedicated to the ocean, forest, wonders of the planet and more.
In the Fire Falls area, a captivating water show unfolds, featuring unique fountains that create the illusion of water flowing upward. In the evening, the fountains are beautifully illuminated and a fire is lit in the centre of the plaza. The water show is accompanied by music composed specifically for this art installation by Ramin Djawadi.
The Expo City area boasts several pavilions dedicated to different countries worldwide. Parks have also been created for outdoor enjoyment. Al Forsan Park, for example, has a large children's playground. The community regularly hosts public event conferences and concerts, making it a popular spot for both city residents and tourists.
Within the residential communities, comfortable environments for relaxation and socialising with loved ones have been thoughtfully designed. In Emaar South, you can play golf at the local golf club, take a stroll along a man-made lake, enjoy a swim in a large open-air pool or visit the gym in the public centre. The neighbourhoods also have parks, gardens, children's playgrounds and outdoor sports courts.
