Residential complexes in Dubai South are part of a multi-phase development project that began in 2006 and will be completed in 2015. It is an actively developing community with a well-thought-out master plan that includes residential neighbourhoods, Al Maktoum International Airport, and a business park. The area is home to some of the most prestigious property in Dubai: residential and commercial space, logistics and aviation zones, as well as leisure facilities and hotels. It is a freehold zone, which allows foreign buyers to consider residential property here as an investment.
The area is divided into separate clusters and covers an area of over 145 sq. km. Of this, 7 sq. km is allocated to the Aerospace Centre and 18 sq. km to the Logistics Centre. The community offers all types of properties: apartments of various sizes, townhouses, and villas. Investment in residential property is potentially profitable. Apartments have a high rental yield. Studios are the most profitable with a rate of 7.7% per annum. They are followed by 1-bedroom apartments, which have a yield of 6.8%. 2- and 3-bedroom apartments have yields of 6.5% and 5.1% per annum respectively.
