100,000 rental lawsuits worth 654 billion dirhams have been settled in Dubai

Nine years of self-realization, impact and sustainable development reflect the path of the Rent Dispute Center (RDC), the judicial division of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), which was launched in accordance with a systematic development process to achieve social and economic stability for all those involved in the real estate rental sector and other relevant sectors, creating a specialized judicial the system in accordance with the debugged mechanism.

 

Judge Abdulkader Musa, Director of the RDC, said: «The Dubai Rent Dispute Center has committed itself to strengthening and developing the judicial system in the real estate sector, based on the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler from Dubai, who has always stressed that justice is the foundation of governance and the happiness of the members of society. We have worked diligently and tirelessly with our qualified national staff and used our material resources, especially technical ones, to keep up with global developments and chart a strategic path that will determine the future of litigation, in accordance with the Emirate's visions and instructions to strengthen its position on the regional and global arena as a leading direction in real estate for investors».

 

The Rent Dispute Center has made remarkable progress in terms of reviewing and resolving lease disputes. The number of lawsuits registered at the center to date has reached 103,975 rental lawsuits, divided between 92,732 primary and 11,243 appeal lawsuits, of which 100,000 lawsuits have been settled, which is 96% of the cases registered at the center.
