The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department has reported an impressive property sales volume of 24 billion dirhams in 2022.
UAE citizens have invested more than 16.2 billion dirhams in total, while the rest of the citizens of the Persian Gulf countries have invested a total of 1.4 billion dirhams. In addition, investments of 4.2 billion dirhams were made by citizens of Arab countries, while 2.2 billion dirhams were made by investors from other countries.
According to the department's annual report, up to 7,267 purchase and sale transactions were made, which is 15.3% more than in 2021, while 4,648 mortgage transactions were made with a total value of almost 10.1 billion dirhams.
The results of the real estate sector for 2022, according to Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, confirm its outstanding contribution to improving the economic competitiveness of the emirate and attracting significant investments that support the real estate sector and the urban boom, in addition to expanding the services offered to institutions.
