Rent in Dubai: price growth in the third quarter of 2021

During the third quarter of 2021, rental price increased in most areas of the city as the UAE continued to recover from the economic effects of the pandemic.

According to the consulting company Asteco, rental rates for apartments increased by 3% compared to the previous quarter, and rental rates for villas increased by 6%.

The annual changes were significant in the villa segment: the growth was 19%. The rent for apartments increased by 3% per year.

The remote work led to the fact that renters began to look for spacious real estate and this really increased the demand for villas. Real estate agents reported that some properties did not even need advertising due to high demand. Experts note a general revival in the real estate market.

On average, the villa landlord could request 14.1% more rent in the third quarter of this year than in the same period of 2020, while the average rent for an apartment increased by only 2.6%.

«Average prices were affordable, but after Dubai won the Expo-2020 bid, they began to grow steadily», ValuStrat reported.
