A significant rise in demand for villas and townhouses sales in the second half of 2020 is reported by Sobha Realty.
The growing appeal for larger homes and outdoor spaces due to the global COVID-19 pandemic doubled sales of villas and townhouses in H2 2020 at the company’s flagship development Sobha Hartland located in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City.
Sobha Hartland's villas and townhouses in communities like Gardenia Villas, Forest Villas, Waterfront Villas and Garden Houses witnessed a strong interest from buyers. With these results the company managed to achieve 70 percent of its annual target for 2020.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, people have been largely confined to their homes, so living spaces have transformed to incorporate work, leisure and education requirements. According to Property Finder, the number of villas and townhouses searches had increased by 400 percent since the beginning of 2020. The period between April and November 2020 recorded over 4,000 villa transactions, approximately 63 percent of these were ready to move in units. Moreover, Property Finder reported that Mohammed Bin Rashid City was among the top five neighbourhoods buyers were searching villas and townhouses in.

The luxury freehold master development Sobha Hartland covers an area of eight million square feet. Launched in 2014, the project is situated in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, overlooking Downtown Dubai. The master development comprises a number of smaller projects, including Greens, Creek Vistas, Creek Vistas Reservé, Gardenia Villas, Garden Houses, One Park Avenue and Forest Villas.
Sobha Hartland is famous for its serene vibe, with 30 percent of the total land area dedicated to green zones and open spaces. According to the plan, the construction of the master project will be completed in 2025.
