Sustainable City project built on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi

The developer announced the launch of Sustainable City on Yas Island, a community focused on sustainable development using solar panels, bio-houses and battery-powered cars.

The family-friendly complex is surrounded by wide green spaces, leisurely paths and public agricultural plots. This is a walking community. The project includes running and cycling tracks, football, basketball and padel courts, as well as parks, lakes, biodomes, an equestrian center with stables, a racetrack, two arenas, a gym and numerous swimming pools. Residents will also have access to a kindergarten, an autism center, a green mosque, as well as retail and catering establishments in the neighborhood.

Yas Sustainable Island City will offer condominiums and townhouses distributed across 10 clusters that are open to buyers of all nationalities. Starting from January 19, 2023, 272 condominiums and 240 townhouses in the first phase of the project will be available for purchase. Condominiums come with one, two or three bedrooms, while the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment is 892,000 dirhams. The complex also offers townhouses with three and four bedrooms; the average cost of a three-bedroom house is 3.24 million dirhams.

In order for residents and tourists to be able to move around without using their cars, a network of shared battery-powered buggies and bicycles will be created.

The complex will run on clean renewable energy, thanks to solar panels integrated into each parking structure, as one of the Estidama 3-pearl communities in Abu Dhabi. To further reduce carbon dioxide emissions, water consumption, energy consumption and garbage, neighbors will also benefit from waste recycling facilities, sustainable development technologies, public design concepts and highly efficient water supply systems.
