The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (RERD) announced that during 2021, the volume of real estate transactions in the Emirate of Sharjah reached the highest value in the last four years and amounted to a total of 26.2 billion dirhams.
The trading value of real estate transactions in 2021 increased by 64.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, with the highest trading value recorded in February totaling 3.5 billion dirhams, followed by 3.3 billion dirhams in December.
The total number of transactions made during 2021 was 84,238, which is 30.7% more compared to 64,459 transactions made in 2020. The volume of mortgage transactions increased by 17.2%, reaching a total value of 11.5 billion dirhams.
The total number of people selling real estate in the emirate in 2021 was 16,413, including 12,712 sellers from the Persian Gulf countries and 3,701 sellers from non-Persian Gulf countries.
The total value of investments by citizens of the Persian Gulf countries last year amounted to 20.6 billion dirhams, while 23,103 properties were sold, while non-citizens of the Persian Gulf countries invested 5.6 billion dirhams in 4,244 properties.
