There is currently no school on Al Maryah Island, but this will not be an issue for residents with children as there are excellent educational institutions nearby.
Gems Winchester School is a 7-minute drive away. The school offers a British curriculum. Abu Dhabi High School provides Nova Scotia education to 50 nationalities worldwide. Repton Abu Dhabi is just 7 minutes away and offers a UK/IB curriculum. Emirates National School and GEMS Worldwide Academy are also popular educational institutions in the area. Both are located within a 10-minute drive of the island.
Nearby higher education options are the INSEAD Middle East branch located directly in the community and the Sorbonne Abu Dhabi University in the island community of Al Reem.
Parents of preschoolers send their kids to one of the nurseries in the neighbouring communities. For example, the popular Playhouse Nursery is located on the island of Al Reem and can be reached in just 4 minutes.
The community offers a great diversity of healthcare options. One of the reputable hospitals and clinics on Al Maryah Island is the Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre, where you can get advice on health issues. As for public transport in Al Maryah Island, there are bus stops in the community - they are located at 19 and Baynunah Streets. Bus lines 8, 10 and 11 cross the island and provide quick access to the Marina Mall and Al Mina Centre. Residents can also make use of taxis.
There’s no need for concern if you have private transport and parking bays are a requirement for you on Al Maryah Island.
